Safety Program Development and Management
At Strickland Safety Services, we’re committed to creating safer work environments through comprehensive safety programs tailored to meet the unique needs of each workplace. Our programs are designed to address immediate safety concerns and provide long-lasting solutions to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
What is a Safety Program?
A safety program is a crucial part of maintaining a safe workplace. It includes detailed procedures and checklists that help prevent accidents and ensure a safer working environment. From routine maintenance and office safety to more specific needs like chemical use and identity fraud prevention, our safety programs cover all aspects of workplace safety.
Creating an Effective Safety Program
Creating an effective safety program starts with a thorough analysis of the current work environment and involves both employers and employees. We aim to anticipate and eliminate potential hazards that could lead to injuries or illnesses. By understanding and fulfilling employer responsibilities under the Occupational Safety and Health Act, we help establish safety practices that are not only compliant but also genuinely effective.
Engagement and Continuous Improvement
Strickland Safety Services believes in the power of collaboration for continuous improvement. Through our programs, we encourage management commitment and worker involvement to foster a culture of safety that extends beyond basic compliance.
Participate in OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP)
We support and facilitate participation in OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP), which recognizes workplaces with exemplary health and safety management systems. Participation in VPP helps reduce injury and illness rates and aligns your business with some of the safest companies in the industry. By engaging in VPP, you can demonstrate your commitment to safety excellence and continuous improvement, all while enjoying exemption from OSHA-programmed inspections.

HAZARD ANALYSIS AND MITIGATION
At Strickland Safety Services, we emphasize proactive hazard identification and mitigation through several key analyses tailored to address specific workplace activities and jobs. Here’s how we approach each analysis:
Task Hazard Analysis (THA)
Our THA involves the active participation of employees performing the tasks under review. We prioritize these analyses based on the risk levels associated with each task, starting with those that present the greatest danger to our workers. This hands-on approach ensures we effectively manage and mitigate potential hazards before they lead to incidents.
Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
The JHA at Strickland Safety Services focuses on the roles within your company. We can identify potential hazards before they manifest by examining the interaction between employees, their tasks, the tools they use, and their work environment. This method helps tailor our safety protocols to fit the unique needs of each job position.
Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA)
Our AHAs are thorough, outlining every step of an activity, task, or defined work feature. We meticulously document the work sequences, expected hazards, site conditions, necessary equipment, materials involved, personnel, and the safety measures that will be implemented. This comprehensive approach ensures that all aspects of worker safety are addressed, allowing for a secure and efficient work process.
Commitment to Safety at Strickland Safety Services
At Strickland Safety Services, we aim to foster a safe work environment where all employees are well-protected. We provide our clients with the knowledge and tools they need to reduce risks and maintain a safe workplace by conducting detailed hazard analyses.
